Prof. Bozzi Pierluigi Visits The School of Biological Sciences

Prof. Pierluigi, a lecturer at the University of Antananarivo, Madagascar, is the ambassador for United Nations' International University Network on Cultural and Biological Diversity (IUNCBD). The aim of the network is to link Education Science Policy to Society especially in the area of enviromental conservation.

Prof. Pierluigi visited the School of Biological Sciences on the 31st January, 2020 and presented to staff and students on need to sensitize and educate the community in issues of susstainable resource utilization and conservation. He noted that in the race to protect the world's enviroment, human behaviour needed to change through well prepared policies one of which was linking education to issues of enviroment. He noted that the Nagoya Protocol's CBD - Post 2020 Framework is under preparation and that stake holders world wide were encouraged to make submissions.
